脈法 (in head) Diagnosis by Pulse (in head) 1 病若頭痛目痛 , 脈急短濇者 , 死 . 《綱目》   If one suffers from headache and pain in the eyes with tense, short, and rough pulse, the one will die. 《綱目》 2 頭痛 , 浮滑易除 , 短濇不愈 . 《得效》   Headache with floating and slippery pulse will be cured easily. With short and rough pulse won’t recover. 《得效》 3 頭痛短澁應須死 , 浮滑風痰必易除 . 《脈訣》   If there is headache with short and rough pulse, the patient will die. 頭 Head 1 頭爲天谷以藏神 The Head is called Heavenly Valley and stores spirit. 谷者 , 天谷也 . 神者 , 一身之元神也 . 天之谷 , 含造化 , 容虛空 , 地之谷 , 容萬物 , 載山川 . 人與天地同所禀 , 亦有谷焉 . 其谷藏眞一 , 宅元神 . 是以頭有九宮 , 上應九天 , 中間一宮 , 謂之泥丸 , 又曰黃庭 , 又名崑崙 , 又謂天谷 . 其名頗多 , 乃元神所住之宮 . 其空如谷 , 而神居之 , 故謂之谷神 . 神存則生 , 神去則死 . 日則接於物 , 夜則接於夢 , 神不能安其居也 . 黃帝內經曰 , 天谷元神 , 守之自眞 . 言人身中 , 上有天谷泥丸 , 藏神之府也 . 中有應谷絳宮 , 藏氣之府也 . 下有虛谷關元 , 藏精之府也 . 天谷 , 元宮也 . 乃元神之室 , 靈性之所存 , 是神之要也 . 《正理》   Gu ( 谷 ) is the valley of the heaven ( 天谷 ). The spirit ( 神 ) is original spirit ( 元神 ) of the body. Heavenly Valley is harmonious and contains emptiness, earthly heaven contains all things and nature. Human is endowed with samething with heaven and earth, therefore has a valley in the body. In the valley the true one is kept and original spirit resides.
