How to treat ear disease on oriental medicine.

 

Ear discomfort is caused mainly by wind-heat or deficient kidney essence. 

1) Tinnitus (耳鳴)

Kindey-water decreases, causing yin fire to move upward, resulting in itchy ears and a ringing sensation similar to the sound of cicadas.

Jia Wei Tongsheng Powder (加味通聖散) 

Bǔ Shèn Wán (补肾丸)

Liù Wèi Dì Huáng Wán (六味地黄丸)

Zǐ Shēn Tóng ěr Tāng (滋腎通耳湯)

2) Deafness (耳聾)

In oriental medicine, deafness is mainly due to heat.

Left ear - It is common in people who have severe mood swings and get angry easily.

加味龍膽湯 Jiā Wèi Lóng Dǎn Tāng, 

龍薈丸 Lóng Huì Wán, and so on.

Right ear - 加味滋陰地黃湯: Jiā Wèi Zī Yīn Dì Huáng Tāng

加味六味地黃湯: Jiā Wèi Liù Wèi Dì Huáng Tāng…

Both ears : Those who eat a lot of rich and flavorful foods develop this sign.

加味通聖散 Jiā Wèi Tōng Shèng Sǎn, 

清聰化痰丸 Qīng Cōng Huà Tán Wán…

 

Ear inflammation due to water entering them:

Jia Wei Wu Ling San 五苓散加味方,…

Due to desertion of essence: (consumptive deafness, 勞聾): 

as the ears darken, the cheeks and temple bones become darker, and the ears become dry and dirty. 

Ren shen yang ying tang人蔘養榮湯, liu wei di huang tang 六味地黃湯..

 Physical weakness after enduring diarrhea or suffering from a severe illness (虛聾, deficient deafness): 

for the condition where black things come and go in the eyes, administer Jia Wei Si Wu Tang 加味四物湯 and Jia Wei Shen Qi Wan 加味腎氣丸.

3) Mucus flowing from the ear

聤耳: When qi and blood decrease and pus develops, blocking the ears.

膿耳: Heat takes advantage of the weakness to enter the ear along the channel, not dispersing but resulting in the discharge of pus. Jia wei chai hu cong er tang 加味柴胡聰耳汤, 防風通聖散 Fāngfēng Tōngshēng Sǎnfěn

4) Festering of ear with a sign of severe pain. 

: If you don't treat it quickly, you will end up deaf and hard of hearing."
