Ya (duck)

 This supplements yin.

This is sweet and cool. This enters the blood aspect of the Lung and Kidney.

This enriches yin, supplements vacuity, eliminates steaming, suppresses cough, and disinhibits water way.

 This treats heat dysentery. The one with white fur and black bone is a superb medicine of treating vacuity-taxation, this has the image of depurating of metal and coldness of water（葛可久 has Bai Feng Gao (白凤膏)）. The old one is good. When using this, boil this with wine or Tong Bian (child’s urine). Heat blood resoves the all toxin of gold, silver, cinnabar,  abd Pi Shuang (sublimed arsenic) and treats malignity strike or a drowning person, Duck egg is sweet, salty, slightly cold. This can enrich yin and eliminates heat in the Heart and abdomen. It is good to eat preserved in salt.  

[禽兽部] 鸭 

    补阴甘冷。入肺、肾血分，滋阴补虚，除蒸止嗽，利水道，治热痢。白毛乌骨者，为虚劳圣药，取金肃水寒之象也（葛可久有白凤膏）。老者良。酒或童便煮。热血解金、银、丹石、砒霜诸毒及中恶、溺死者。卵甘咸微寒。能滋阴，除心腹膈热。盐藏，食良。
