2-2. flooding in old age 年老血崩
Woman in old age
has flooding. The pattern is same with flooding with dim vision. People thinks
that this is due to vacuous qi and blood of old woman. Who does know that this
is not due to be careful of sexual intercourse. Jia Jian Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang
is used.
Jia Jian Dang Gui
Bu Xue Tang . (Modified Tangkuei Decoction to Tonify the Blood)
Dang Gui（one liang, clean with wine）
Huang Qi（one liang）
San Qi Gen Mo（three qian）
Sang Ye（14 pieces）
Decoct the herbs
with water. taking of two Ji (劑) makes flooding pause a little, taking of four Ji (劑) makes flooding not to reoccur. But one
should controle one’s desire to remove the root of the disease. Generally Bu
Xue Tang is the good formula which supplements both qi and blood, San Qi Gen is
great herb to stanch blood, sang ye is added to nourish kidney yin and
contract. When yin essence of old woman is deplete, this formula can stanch
flooding temporarily but one cannot expect this formula to treat this eternally.
This is because herbs which supplement essence are short. After taking four Ji
(劑) of this formula, and then add the other herbs..
Bai Zhu（five qian）
Shu Di Huang（one liang）
Shan Yao（four qian）
Mai Men Dong（three qian）
Wu Wei Z（one qian）
Taking 100 Ji (劑) of this can remove the root of flooding.
If Bai Shao Yao(stir-bake to scorch, three qian) and Guang Zhong (stir-bake to
scorch, three qian) are added, the effect will be good.
2-2. 年老血崩
婦人有年老血崩者, 其症亦與前血崩昏暗者同, 人以爲老婦之虛耳, 誰知是不愼房幃之故乎! 方用加減當歸補血湯.
加減當歸補血湯
當歸（一兩,酒洗）黃耆（一兩,生用）三七根末（三錢）桑葉（十四片）
水煎服. 二劑而血少止, 四劑不再發. 然必須斷欲始除根, 若再犯色欲, 未有不重病者也. 夫補血湯乃氣血兩補之神劑, 三七根乃止血之聖藥, 加入桑葉者, 所以滋腎之陰, 又有收斂之妙耳. 但老婦陰精旣虧, 用此方以止其暫時之漏, 實有奇功, 而不可責其永遠之績者, 以補精之味尙少也. 服此四劑後, 再增入.
白朮（五錢）熟地（一兩）山藥（四錢）麥冬（三錢）北五味（一錢）
服百劑, 則崩漏之根可盡除矣. 亦有孀婦年老血崩者, 必係氣衝血室, 原方加杭芍炭三錢, 貫眾炭三錢極效.
