1. Tian Fu points (天符穴) 五行
When the qi of five elements(五行) which is related with from qi (形氣), is
same with the character of six qi (六氣) which correspond
to root qi in the channels, this is called Tian Fu channel and network. And in
case of five transport points, this is called Tian Fu point. There is six Tian
Fu channels and Tian Fu points.
Tian Fu points are composed of one qi, in
case of Tong Gu (BL 66), this point is water point in water channel, thus the
character of Tian Fu points is pure and strong. If Tong Gu (BL 66)is tonified,
this can cause the qi of cold water into body, and if Shao Fu (HT 8) is
drained, this can resolve congested heat fire. Thus sometimes or often, only Tian
Fu points are applied without any points.

2. Sending and accepting points (送穴 受穴)
Five transport points acts as a connection.
Thus five transport points control not only self channel but also other
channel.
When five elements in channel are same with
five elements in points, these are called sending points, the others are
accepting points. For example with stomach channel, ST 36 Zu San Li which corresponds
to stomach earth, becomes sending point, and the other four points act as
passage to accept the other channels qi.
厲兌 ST 45 Li Dui acts as passage to accept Large Intestine Metal.
內庭 ST 44 Nei Ting acts as passage to accept Bladder Water.
陷谷 ST 43 Xian Qu acts as passage to accept Gallbladder Wood.
解谿 ST 41 Jis Xi acts as passage to accept Small Intestine Fire.
1. 手太陰肺經 수태음폐경
Hand Greater Yin Lung Channel
1) Greater Yin Damp Earth, Following Root
[Qi] (太陰濕土. 從本)
- Lung
channel has both metal qi and damp earth qi, but damp earth qi which is root qi
of greater yin palys important role in tramsforming qi, inhibited qi
transformation tends to causes congested damp-phlegm.
2) Lung controlling Qi
The Qi lung controls is gathering qi (宗氣). This is made of Tian Qi inhaled from Lung and water-grain qi
taken in spleen. This gives an impetus to breath and make blood move. Lung
primarily controls the move of construction and defense qi. Gathering qi
descends to lower leg and foot, thus it fails to move downward, this can causes
reversal cold of foot. Ling Shu says that reversal in the foot is due to
gathering qi failing to move downward, this causes blood in the vessel to be
congealed and stayed. (靈樞曰 故厥在于足 宗氣不下 脈中之血 凝而留止). The formation
of gathering qi through the help of contstruction of spleen is related with the
combination of [SP3 Tai Bai and LU9 Tai Yuan +]. This combination means the
construction of spleen replenishes lung qi.
