Shang Han Lun
Why Shang
Han Lun is important is that it is the first book about formula based on the
theory of Nei Jing. The first, second, and third lines in shang han lun are
important. The first line is a general outline of greater yang disease, seconed
line is the definition of wind strike, and third line is the definition of cold
damage. The greater yang disease of first line is divided into wind strike of second
line and cold damage of third line. The greater yang disease itself is
connected with yang nature, but this applies when the disease begins first.
Whether greater yang disease progresses to wind strike or cold damage, maybe
you think it depends on the evil qi whether is yang evil or yin evil, but it
depends on deviation of yin and yang, deviation of yin and yang can be
recongnized repulsive power of body. If greater yang disease progresses to wind
strike, Gui Zhi Tang series, this is connected with vacuity constitution, yin
gets exuberant but yang gets vacuous, in the final destination of wind strike
there is Fu Zi(附子). If greatre yang disease progresses to cold damage, Ma Huang Tang series,
this is connected with repletion constiturion, yang gets exuberant but yin gets
exhausted, in the final destination of cold damate there is Cheng Qi Tang(承氣湯).
It is hard
to understand shang han lun if you study it one line by one line. There is
hidden mechanism why sweat effuses when evil invades. You have to find out the
reason.
